Dear Greeks.live users,
Happy New Year to all of you!
As the cryptocurrency options market matures, a number of market makers and asset management agencies have entered the market, and options players have become more demanding in terms of the trading tools they need.
Greeks.live was established to bring quality experience to cryptocurrency options players in China with precise language localization, smooth login and seamless trading experience.
To this end, we have obtained the official authorization of Deribit and become its business partner. In 2021, we developed a diverse range of trading tools, published a number of options knowledge articles, and gathered a group of options players from home and abroad.
We hereby summarize our progress in 2021 as follows.
I. We Refined Trading Tools
1. From APP to compatibility with multiple platforms
The first version of the APP only supported the Android system. Later, we launched the iOS version of the APP. With the continuous upgrading of the mobile APP experience, the duration of the duck animation before login got shorter and shorter. In addition to sitting in front of your computer and opening the trading website to trade, you can also use most of the features available on the trading website, such as checking BTC prices, placing orders based on the Order Book, One Click Delta hedge and accessing the data lab, with your phone at any time.
2. Continuous improvement and innovation of the trading website
In addition to retaining most of the features of the old Deribit UI, we also made the following innovations:
(1) Integration of One Click Delta hedge and Risk Assessment features into the top asset summary bar
(2) Integration of such features as Data Lab, Order Book Font Size, Language, Select Node and Switch of Webpage Appearance Between Dark and Light Colours in the menu bar.
(3) Focus on improving the Order Book on the trading website in the second half of 2021
- Strategy Builder: When clicked, you may place an order with multiple options selected at the same time.
- Addition of the APR column
- Floating column charts
(4) Sidebar integrated with URL jumps for Block Trade, Position Visualisation (PV tools), Advanced Tools, etc.
3. Addition of diverse advanced tools
The Advanced Tools are advanced features that we offer to traders who are already proficient in basic options concepts and have higher requirements for options trading.
In 2021, we added a number of advanced tools, including Advanced Auto DDH, Synthetic Knock-in Options, Auto Synthetic Delivery and Futures Swap, offering you more possibilities than just placing regular options orders.
2. Provision of a platform to display social trading performance
Deribit does not yet have the features for options players to view and share their net worth curve changes, position structures and Greek letters. So, we developed a social trading website (t.greeks.live) and a social trading APP.
We believe that the best way for traders to show their hard power is to produce a nice and stable net worth curve with few withdrawals. There are now nearly 100 social trading accounts bound to the Social Trading Plaza, with the largest number of subscriptions being 216 (龙心盐).
II. We Gathered Options Players from Home and Abroad
1. Online & offline
(1) We gathered nearly 2,500 options players from Telegram’s domestic and international communities.
(2) We established Chinese and English notification channels to post bulk trade updates and Greeks.live’s latest updates.
(3)We held three Greeks.live Teahouse WeChat Group Q&A sessions.
(4) We held two Traders’ Talk live Podcast.
(5) We carried out three offline colloquia with Jeff.
2. Provision of Deribit TESTNET to increase market liquidity
With the help of the team, The Cook Capital officially joined the first Deribit TESTNET as a market maker and became Deribit TESTNET’s first market making team, filling the lack of liquidity in the TESTNET and providing convenience for newcomers to practice.
